Rick's background living as a monk and Maria's career as a calligrapher combined to create this fascinating mixture of beautiful black and white drawings. Today, Zentangle is a global movement.

I found Zentangle when I retired and moved to the Villages, Florida in 2016. I began taking weekly classes and then was certified in 2019. i began teaching the following year, starting a monthly club in the Villages, and teaching classes through The Enrichment Academy and online.

A few simple tools are needed- A soft-leaded pencil, black pen with a fine tip, paper or Zentangle tiles, and a blending stump for shading.
