Hello! I became a Certified Zentangle Teacher in November, 2020 taught by the Zentangle founders, Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas. I had retired from a 30 year retail career, and was looking for something to get involved in here in the Villages, Florida. I studied Art History, Fine Arts and Commercial Arts in college. I have always loved to draw and paint, and was looking for a creative outlet. One day, in 2019, there was an article in the local newspaper about Zentangle with the instructor, Jacki Rose. I signed up immediately, and the rest is history!
I primarily teach Zentangle through on-line zoom sessions and in person classes at local recreation centers, art schools and senior centers. I also teach private classes.
For me, the Zentangle method is a perfect combination - I get to explore and develop my creative side, and express myself through sharing it with others through teaching the Zentangle method. The best part of teaching Zentangle is to see the look of confidence and accomplishment on my students faces!
